PERSISTENCE

Almost by definition, people who succeed don't give up. Yet people who succeed are exposed to exactly the same difficulties, challenges, obstacles as those who fail. If they do not give in to these, where others do, it is because they have a greater measure of persistence.

Strength, skills, and suppleness are well and good. But the path to success is a long-term project, and for that you need stamina - stamina and dogged determination. You need persistence.

Persistence is to the mind what stamina is to the body. It is the ability to continue in a course of action in the face of difficulties and opposition. Vision, belief, action, and passion all unite with this mental resilience into a whole of such energy you may be forgiven for believing that anything is possible.

That which we persist in doing becomes easier - not that the nature of the task has changed, but our ability to do has increased. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Some men give up their designs when they have almost reached the goal; While others, on the contrary, obtain a victory by exerting, at the last moment, more vigorous efforts than ever before. ~ Heredotus

What qualities do you see are important for you to become more persistent?

Have you ever persisted in the face of failure? Make a list of these times.

What would happen if you do not persist at achieving your goal?

Apply your answers to all areas of your life.

Persistence is a choice. At every given moment, we can either give in to the challenges or figure out a way to overcome them.

I encourage you to embrace the quality and character of persistence and help others do the same.

Until next time, persist until you are victorious.

PASSION

People who succeed at something do so partly because they are keen to succeed; but they also do so beacuse they are passionate about what they do.

Action without engagement, without passion, is sterile.  Passion is the energy that flows from the intensity of your belief and fires you into action.  If intuition is the inner voice that guides a person's decision and actions, passion is the emotional charge that gives those actions force and power.  Passion is the prime motivator that allows people to work harder and longer; it is the element that separates people of otherwise equal ability and aptitude.  Just listen to listen to the number of people who say that their passionate love for what they do is the secret of their success.

As in your private life, so in your professional; passionate involvement has an intensity that is its own reward, but it fires up your actions, too, and drives success.

The purpose of life is a life of purpose. ~ Robert Byrne

At present are you doing the things that you love in life?

Belief

Belief transforms lives, helps people to cure themselves from illnesses, brings about results.
You have to have unshaken belief in yourself, in your goal, and in the certainty of your achieving it. Visualise your goal first thing in the morning and last thing at night - believe in it , and it will banish any negative thought.

The law of life is the law of belief, and belief could be summed up briefly as a thought in your mind. As a person thinks, feels, and believes, so is the condition of his or her mind, body and circumstances.

ACTION

Think of some things in life that were thought to be impossible; list them.
Which of your beliefs limit you? What do you believe you are?
